Here's to 2020....
Where did 2019 go?
As I sit typing, I can't quite believe 2019 is coming to an end. It's been a rollercoaster ride of a year with lots of highs and challenges accordingly. Lots of things stand out for me - two major art fairs; taking part in three exhibitions in new venues and galleries I haven't been involved with before; different workshops with different topics in a variety of settings; taking part in the Mudeford Arts Festival and painting my way through the Alresford Arts Festival. And of course the agony when paintings don't go right or take a painfully inordinate of time. I've painted more this year than I have in a long time and that in itself is a major plus and worth all the accompanying worries and tricky bits of being an artist and running a small business.
To those of you who have taken an interest and encouraged me, whether you are a fellow artist, arts organiser, arts supporter, student or gallery, it isn't a cliché how much I appreciate your support. I'm so looking forward to see what art 2020 brings my way and can't wait to show you.
Wishing you all a happy, healthy and peaceful 2020,
Isabel
