Isabel's latest painting
Isabel is delighted to have finished her latest piece of work 'Winter Flood'.
Isabel says 'This local meadow often floods and following the rains earlier this year, the flooding was extensive. I kept passing the meadow and was very taken with the line of grasses, the tree and the reflections. When I went out to record the scene, the sun was out and the sky was blue but it was only when you looked more closely that you could see the half submerged fence posts and meadow.
Using acrylic paints, I built up the many layers in this piece over three weeks so that you get a real sense of the depth of the scene I saw. The thousands of brush marks on the water worked well to give me the texture and feel that I was looking for.'
The painting will be available for sale at Isabel's first markets of 2013 but please email Isabel or get in touch with her before then if you are interested in buying this piece. Fine art giclee prints and greetings cards will also be available.
